Fancy cabbies

So I'm taking a cab to Penn station after a fabulous dinner in NYC in celebration of a number of birthdays.

I get in the cab. The driver complains about having been in the car all day. He then asks where I work. I tell him that I work at a discount brokerage as an analyst. He then goes on to talk about how I work in finance and that all the people in finance are Asian. He goes on to say that only Asian people are smart enough to do finance. He tells me that he came from India 22 yrs ago and the first thing he did was buy an apartment in Brooklyn. Apparently according to him, all white people (except Jews) are stupid because they don't spend money on living but they spend too much money on food, drinks, and sex. And how when he did his PhD at Columbia, everyone was Asian.

I'm sitting here thinking: 1.) what kind of money are white people spending on sex that Asian people aren't spending? Condoms? Birth control? I mean, China and India *do* have a huge population issue... 2.) I probably shouldn't tell him that I just spent $100 on dinner or that I regularly spend money on alcohol, right? And 3.) if you have a PhD from Columbia, what the hell are you doing driving a cab all day?

Anyways. There are definitely a bunch of weird ones out there.
