the Columbia club is under construction and the Columbia Engineering
Young Alumni needed a place to meet.
I miss Columbia a lot and much of the reasoning is that I miss working
to make something I feel so passionately about better. I miss CSGB; I
miss the URC; I miss residential programs. But what I miss most is
ESC. I miss working on programming and policy initiatives!! And tg for
CEYA I can continue doing that stuff.
The meeting was great. I ran into some of my old favorites, AMR, EMS,
PHV, RR, and of course my favorite person in the Dean's office, SK.
But I mostly loved hearing about these new initiatives! Alumni career
networking, mentorship programs, beautifying Mudd, and of course
benefits and dinners!! Woohoo!!
Anyhow, now I must head home. I didn't really get a chance to grab
dinner and definitely had two very full glasses of wine. Slash I'm
very tipsy. I left the event with AMR who led me through Grand
Central, my first time there. I so wish I weren't so tips so that I
could enjoy the beautiful ceiling, archetecture, etc. I got onto the 6
downtown and was very confused why the Brooklyn Bridge train's last
stop was at City Hall? And now am sitting on the Path train starting
to get a hangover. At least I have ware with me and know that it won't
be nearly as bad as the night after the green stuff.
If only I could catch a train that'll get me home before midnight.
