Yak

So I finally got back from dinner in the city -- I went out to one of my favorite campus eats today -- Campo. Not necessary for it's good food or their service, but more because I think the co-owner MW is eye candy :) Anyhow, I went with some of my favorite guys and I had a great time -- VVA, ARSB, MCB, & ESP.

It's funny b/c the conversation tonight was so different from what I've been so used to with my female friends. My female friends and I talk about apartment decorating, gossip of people, people from work... at most, the heaviest topic would be about the current presidential campaign. But tonight's conversation was heavy in finance -- I guess that's b/c VVA and ARSB both work in financial firms. And of course -- we're all talking about Lehman today. It's funny. VVA was offered a job there and didn't take it. People thought it was NUTS. haha best decision of his life. Of course conversations were also combined with current events (surprisingly nothing about the election), wealth placement of Ivy students, and of course -- girls. I love listening to guys talk about girls. One of my fav. pastimes ever. totally. And what made the night even more enjoyable was the abundance of alcohol.

Going to Campo always calls for a Strawberry Mojito -- by far my fav. drink there. And not having eaten since lunch b/c of my "busy" schedule at work, 8pm cocktail before dinner definitely left me tips.

It's funny that ARSB, MCB, and ESP were all telling me that it's weird when a bunch of guys decide to split bottles of wine... Maybe that's a girl thing? Anyhow, we got a couple of bottles and enjoyed the wine. VVA showed up a little later and we all indulged on good food and wine. Of course -- by the time I left, I was pretty close to being drunk. shhh...

The trip home was fun. As soon as I stepped onto the subway platform at Columbia, I immediately spotted one of my fav. flamb's -- KJC. He's trying to get into the whole Broadway thing and I'm totally excited for him :)

By the time I got to NY Penn, the wine had definitely kicked in. I walked into a homeless guy -- ew. def. need a hepatitis shot now!

On the ride from NY Penn to Newark Penn, I ran into some Asian occasion friends -- omg don't remember a single thing they were telling me.

At Newark Penn, all the B&T folk were waiting around for trains, I literally walked into two as I completely tripped over a trash can. About half a dozen police officers asked me if I was ok... I would have been if they didn't cause such a commotion about it. haha.

At the McD's, the homeless guy decided to sit next to me and explain how he thought that I'd "get" him... I sat and listened, nursing my stubbed toe and sipping my Diet Coke.

On the train from Newark to home -- I was so glad that I didn't yak. Thank goodness my ride is just long enough to help me sober up :)
