Animals or Children

So I'm heading into work a littler later than usual. ML told me to sleep in b/c she felt bad for keeping me in the office late yesterday. But I've been known to sleep in until 1pm. I'm pretty sure she didn't mean to get into the office at 3pm. lol. So I'm on the train an hour later than usual. And what a difference.

Usually by now, half the train is filled with people in button ups and slacks. But right now it's only got half the usual number of people and there are a surprisingly high number of kids on the train.

And by kids I'm specifically targeting a group of 4 high school age girls dressed in the typical short skirt, hoop earrings, giant bird sunglasses lock. I guess they're going to spend the day in the city before school starts. They're talking obnoxiously loud about a certain who "oh my god when he posted his class schedule on facebook, I realized I had 5 classes with him!" -- "O-M-G you are so luck..." ad nauseum. Time to put the headphones back on. Goodness -- I hope I was never like that. Was I?

Interesting enough, they also have a Pomeranian in a purse with them. Paris Hilton wannabe much? Oddly enough the dog is SO much quieter and subdued than they are. And for someone who put away two gin & tonics before bed, I appreciate the dog more than the adolescent girls. Which one is more human -- there's a thought. Now you decide.
