Pet peeves when dining out

A list if things I hate based off of things that have happened in the
past year or so

-when after you clear a night and time that works for everyone and
make reservations, someone bails for an illegitimate reason (I had
homework/to clean/etc)

-when someone asks to bring someone who clearly was not invited (the
hated ex, the awk friend)

-when that extra person causes you to have to change reservations

-when that person that you changed reservations for then bails without
apologizing or telling anyone they can no longer make it

-when you purposely tell people to come 15min and yet still you're the
first person there. Slash your friends still comes 15 min late

-when the restaurant is so dark you can't read the menu

-when the portions are so small you feel like you should have gotten
two entrees

-when the place has an open grill and when you leave you realize you
smell like grill

-when you clearly state dietary restrictions that are completely ignored

-when they never refill your glass of water

-when the coat check loses your scarf/hat/gloves etc

-when you bribe the coat check lady to take your coat yet they still
manage to lose your stuff

-when the place is so crowded and warm inside the windows are foggy

-when the waiter/waitress spills on you

-when the bathroom has a person manning it. Really? I hate when
people's job is listening to you pee

-when the bathroom is too small for the size of the place

-when the bathroom floor is perpetually wet

-when the waitir shamelessly hits on you (really this only annoys me
when he's 80 years old and wants to tell me the stuff he used to do
when he was young) slash cute. But annoying

-when you get to the bill and no one has cash

-when you finally collect cash for everyone and you're still short a
solid amount

-and when you know who should be putting in more money but that
person's like I put in more than enough

-when people forget to add in enough tax and tip for their food

-when people are stingy tippers. Really 18% is standard for standard
service nowadays

-when I'm really excited to see the people I'm dining with but am
really out of it that I can't be myself... :-/

laughing at you said...

I agree with probably 99% of the things on this list.

P.S. When I graduate in May, it will only be a matter of months before I go up north! I miss you and must see you soon!!! Hell I'll probably end up moving to NYC at some point...

Love you much,

Lala
